Part 2: The vTECH io Way

Welcome to vTECH io. Join us as we delve into the heart of vTECH io, peeling back the layers to uncover the essence of our mission, the spirit of our team, and the pulse of the tech-driven universe we inhabit. As we unfold our narrative, we’ll share our adventures, milestones, and the extraordinary stories that have shaped us into who we are today. Over the next few weeks, we are going to highlight some of our key players that make up the foundation of who we are as a company and what brought us to where we are today.

While the company was started in 1993, it was purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Peterson in 2001 when it was operated as a break/fix company. A break/fix company is a type of IT service provider that primarily operates on a reactive basis, addressing technology issues and problems as they occur. In this model, clients typically contact the service provider when they experience a problem or require assistance with their technology infrastructure. The provider then “breaks” down the issue or problem and “fixes” it, hence the term “break/fix.” This model didn’t meet the needs the Petersons felt compelled to address and they began to integrate MSP, or Managed Service Provider. An MSP is a company that remotely manages and maintains a client’s IT infrastructure and end-user systems on a proactive and ongoing basis.

In 2008, vTECH io hired one of their many pivotal employees, holding a special place in the functionality of the business. Shawn Ruhl has been with vTECH io for 15 years now as the elite tech talent, leading and training for his high-preforming team.

Wanting to give their customers the latest and best options available in the tech industry, vTECH io added a systems integrator in 2013. A System Integrator is an entity that specializes in bringing together various hardware and software components to create a comprehensive, unified system that meets specific business requirements. The goal of a system integrator is to ensure that all subsystems function efficiently together to provide a seamless and effective solution for the customers. At this time, vTECH io started partnering with Dell to sell their computers and systems. They hired key employees from Dell to offer the best service. Jon Vandertill is working at vTECH io now almost 10 years later as a leading Regional Account Executive.

In 2016, another pivotal employee joined the team. Chris McDaniel came from outside the tech industry setting high standards for the Regional Account Executives. He has continued to provide them with opportunities to grow and lead. 2020 brought the integration of security into the companies’ many services.

As we look into the future of vTECH io, Mr. Petersons’ goal is to maintain a culture of robust core values. Wanting to grow the company with the right people, the focus is on passing leadership on internally and not losing the key guiding principles to outside investors. With impressive accomplishments such as a 200% growth in end-goal sales this year, we plan to continue our rapid growth without losing who we are. That’s the vTECH io way
