Life, with its intricate tapestry of experiences, often unveils itself in unexpected turns, leading us down paths we could never have foreseen. Each twist and curve in the road becomes a chapter in our narrative, shaping our character and influencing the stories we tell. Just when we think we have charted the course, life has a way of surprising us, introducing new characters, challenges, and opportunities. It is within these unforeseen moments that we find the true essence of our journey, discovering resilience, adaptability, and a deeper understanding of ourselves. This has certainly been the case for Chris Kitson, our next vTECH io key employee.

Chris has had an eventful journey to vTECH io, starting across the globe in South Africa. Chris and his family lived in South Africa from 2010 until 2020 when they came home for what was supposed to be a short visit. They worked for ASEA, a criminal and drug rehab organization that counseled and helped individuals get back on track. When their family came home to attend a wedding, they ended up stuck in America because of the Covid pandemic. Chris decided to use this time to go back to college and earn a degree in computer programming that would allow him to apply for permanent residency in Africa. As time went on, his family decided they were not called to go back to Africa right now and set about settling back down in the States. A current vTECH io customer and mentor to Chris, an employee at the National Christian Counselors Association, recommended that Chris Kitson reach out to Chris McDaniel to apply for an open Inside Account Manager position. When Kitson realized this was part of the sales side of vTECH io, he initially planned on turning it down but after a conversation with McDaniel, he realized the position was uniquely suitable to him.

Mastering the Art of Precision

The focus of Chris’s job is project management. He assists the Reginal Account Managers in closing their sales and setting the customers up with the best products and services possible. One pivotal aspect of this is using automation and other resources to become more efficient. This has led to one of his greatest accomplishments at vTECH io. As a company, about 75% of our products or programs require some sort of renewable sale. Whether it is a Microsoft Office subscription or the shelf life of a monitor, our renewable products were being overlooked. At the request of Chris McDaniel, Kitson spent most of a year troubleshooting and refining a solution that has led to better service and happier customers. Chris was able to accomplish this because of the trust and confidence instilled in him by vTECH io’s leading staff. This has also led to Chris becoming the primary trainer for any new Inside Account Managers.

He has decided, through many over-caffeinated days, that we often just need to learn how to better use the software and resources we already have and better educate ourselves. If he can automate a way to save one mouse click on a system and he uses that system five times a day, he has saved himself, and vTECH io, 25 clicks a week and 1300 a year. While that might not seem like a big deal at first, finding weekly ways to simplify workflows has allowed Chris and others to become much more efficient at their jobs. This leads to quicker response times for customers and better overall value for everyone involved.

Embracing the AI Revolution to Enhance the Future of Work

In the dynamic realm of technology, the advent of AI occupies our minds, sparking visions of a future where the power to craft virtually anything lies at our fingertips with just a few keystrokes. Chris, much like many tech enthusiasts, shares this anticipation when pondering the thrilling trends in technology. Whether harnessing AI to craft a self-portrait (as showcased above) or employing it for instantaneous problem-solving, the impact of AI on our daily lives is undeniable. In the professional sphere, particularly in the business world, AI promises to usher in a new era of efficiency and heightened preparedness for the tasks that lie ahead.

Navigating the Path to Computer Programming Success

For aspiring computer programmers embarking on their journey, Chris imparts valuable advice: Tune into your personal pain points. Identify tasks that you find cumbersome or dislike, and invest your time in mastering ways to enhance, expedite, and automate them. By doing so, you not only optimize your workflow but also liberate yourself from the repetitive burden of frequent tasks. Additionally, Chris underscores the significance of acknowledging the potency of small changes. These seemingly minor adjustments can wield a substantial influence not only on individual tasks but also on the overall efficiency of the company.

As we navigate this exciting terrain, Chris’s advice becomes a guiding beacon for those venturing into the world of computer programming. In the dynamic realm of technology, the journey is as significant as the destination. As we embrace the AI revolution and embark on the path of continual learning, we not only shape our roles but also contribute to the broader narrative of technological progress. With each keystroke and line of code, we collectively propel the evolution of our digital landscape, ensuring that the future of work is not just efficient but also filled with endless possibilities.
